We can hardly believe the day has come, that our dear friend Pat is getting married. You see, he really needed to find a lady who would accept him for the special guy that he is, which is a pretty tall order. She would need to be the type that could go with him via air boat in a dark gross swamp to research alligators, stand by his side as he fist pumps to 80s rock music and she would also have to truly appreciate his luscious red beard. We’re not sure how he did it, but he managed to find that one special lady. Bonus – she is also super cute! I think he realized early on that he had to hang on to her, because I don’t think there are many like her out there. They met through their jobs, which both involve Florida wildlife. So the setting of their engagement was a secret swampy swimming hole mixed in with some good ole fashion camping. We had a great time, despite the fact that Nicki sunk into mud (RIP gold glitter toms) and I totally wiped out and have a huge bruise on my hip. We’re super excited for your wedding and we think you guys are the perfect match : )

While these photos may look like they were taken in some magical secret botanical garden, it was actually someone’s backyard. A yard that requires about 5 employees a day to maintain… phew! I can’t even get my husband to mow our lawn once a month, so it’s hard to imagine this kind of upkeep! We love how easy breezy coastal casual this engagement session turned out, and we’re so super excited for their Windsor wedding this spring. Liz handles a lot of events in South Florida so we’re sure everything will turn out beautifully!

Elena and Spencer’s wedding at Holy Cross was a classic Catholic mass followed by a classic Quail Valley reception. We do have to say they win the award for largest bridal party yet, and we thank you for the practice in wrangling them all up. Absolutely no offense to the lovely ladies, but these groomsmen were on task and ready to do whatever we said, much appreciated gentlemen! We had a great time, hope your life together is as fun as your wedding was!

People often ask us how reliable DVDs are, they are after all storing your wedding photos, some of your favorite memories you’ll hopefully look back on for the rest of your lives. The answer is, we honestly aren’t sure how reliable a DVD is. I do know that my CD cases from college are filled with scratched up discs that don’t play anymore and that’s something we hope never happens to your wedding photos. We decided a simpler way to give you your images would be on a portable USB drive. The simplicity factor is perfect, just plug this cute little stick into your computer and transfer your files. You can then store them on all of your computers, burn your own DVD back ups, or keep the stick in a fire proof safe. : ) So from now until the next cool thing comes along, all of our couples will receive a custom USB drive packaged in cuteness like this!
